本項住宿優惠措施活動期間在台南、高雄、屏東、台東自即日起(107年5月18日)至6月底期間實施；至於澎湖縣則為配合舉辦海灣旅遊年會，將於9月1日起至10月15日期間實施。
交通部觀光局表示，民眾可先至臺灣觀光資訊網及臺灣旅宿網「南部灣域住宿優惠活動」專區查詢參與本次活動之旅宿名單，於活動期間於南部灣域地區平日(週一至週四)至少住宿連續兩夜，即享有第2晚免費之優惠，並由觀光局就已申請參與活動之旅宿業者願意提供第2晚免費住宿部分，酌予補助業者每間房間500元，同時為鼓勵業者導入行動支付服務，若民眾以行動支付住宿費用者，則再對業者每間房間酌予增加100元之獎勵。期透過推動短期觀光優惠措施，鼓勵業者推出平日住宿優惠活動，共同吸引國人赴南部縣市旅遊消費，期待旅客們的深度體驗，一起感受南灣特色獨具的觀光魅力，以活絡當地觀光產業發展。
